Behind Booqli’s magic stands a professional and dedicated team, led by Shemesh Tzur—chief writer and content director. Born in Jerusalem in 1986, Shemesh was drawn to writing, illustration, and books from a young age. She loved reading and imagined herself as a children’s author since childhood.

Over the years, that passion was pushed aside as Shemesh studied electrical engineering and worked in the high-tech industry. Yet her true love for writing and storytelling never faded. As she approached 40, she decided to leave high-tech and pursue her dream: she dedicated herself to publishing the books she had written over the years, and released new, personalized stories through Booqli. Her books, sold in Israel and around the world in both Hebrew and English, allow children to literally see themselves at the center of the story.

Booqli continues to grow, with a deep commitment to innovation, quality, and excellent service. Shemesh Tzur, together with her talented team, is proud to be part of this family and works every day to deliver children and their families a personal, exciting, and captivating gift they will cherish for years to come.
